Returns & Refunds Policy
At The Q-Store, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Our Returns and Refunds Policy is designed to comply fully with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
🛡️ 1. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Our goods come with automatic guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
We reserve the right to inspect the goods before providing a remedy.
What is a Major Failure?
A product has a major problem when:

A reasonable consumer would not have bought the product if they had known about the problem.

The product is significantly different from the description, sample, or demonstration model shown.

The product is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.

The product is unsafe.
If the problem is major, you can choose to receive a full refund or an identical replacement (or one of similar value if reasonably available).
What is a Minor Failure?
If the problem is minor and can be fixed within a reasonable time, we will repair the item for free. If we fail to give you a free repair within a reasonable time, you can:

Get the product fixed elsewhere and claim the reasonable costs from us.

Ask for a replacement or a full refund.
🛑 2. Exceptions to Consumer Guarantees
You are not entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the consumer guarantees if:

You caused the problem by being careless, damaging, or misusing the product.

You did not follow reasonable care or use instructions provided with the product.

You knew of, or were made aware of, the specific fault before you bought it (e.g., factory seconds marked with the specific defect).
🔄 3. Change of Mind Returns
Please choose carefully. We are not legally required to provide a refund or replacement if you simply change your mind, find the item cheaper somewhere else, or decide you have no use for it.
As a gesture of goodwill, we offer exchange or store credit for change of mind returns under the following conditions:

The item is returned within 45 days of purchase.

You provide satisfactory proof of purchase.

The item is in its original, saleable condition, unworn or unused, with all original tags and packaging intact.
🧾 4. Proof of Purchase
To claim a remedy under the consumer guarantees, you must provide proof that you purchased the product from us.
Acceptable forms of proof include:

The original register receipt or tax invoice.

A financial statement (such as a credit card or bank statement) clearly showing the transaction.

An online order confirmation email.
📦 5. Return Shipping Costs

For Faulty Goods: If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, we will bear the cost of shipping or returning the product. We will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse you for reasonable postage costs once the fault is confirmed.

For Change of Mind: If we have agreed to accept a change of mind return, you are responsible for all associated return shipping costs.

Please provide your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos of any damage or fault to help us process your request swiftly.
7. Return of Optics Products
The product should be returned to QRA, preferably in its original packaging, including the accessories that came with the purchase, and state the problem with the product.
QRA will inspect the product to confirm the problem and that no damage or misuse is evident.
QRA will advise if the product is suitable for return to the manufacturer as a Major or Minor fault.
If the product does not have a Major or Minor fault or is a Change of Mind Return, we will work with you to provide a solution.
