K&M - Expander Mandrel (including Powerstroke)

Virgin/competition Brass isn’t quite ready to Neck Turn when you buy it. And the commercial die manufacturers have no set standards for the Expander button in their dies.
Large variations from manufacturing to manufacturing and even within a given manufacturing makes it necessary to properly size the inside diameter before turning. The turning pilot cannot be used to correctly expand the case neck because of the elasticity of the brass; it will "spring” back and be too tight for proper Neck Turning.

The 7/8-14 Threaded Adapter fits your Normal Reloading press and the interchangeable Mandrels are sized to be the perfect companion to the K & M MICROADJUSTABLE Neck Turner. The EXPANDER MANDRELS will iron out (smooth) and slightly expand the case neck so the brass will spring back to the correct size needed to neck turn your Brass.

A note about Original vs Powerstroke:
The original V.1 of the expander mandrels has a stop screw, whereas the Powerstroke mandrels does not. (See additional images)
V.1 can still be used in the Powerstroke Press Adapter by simply removing the screw.
At Q-Store we currently still have some V.1 mandrels in stock so you may receive one with a screw when you order.

Shipping Costs are calculated at the checkout, based on your postcode and the weight of all combined items.

Due to Australia Post limitations, the maximum weight for each order is 20kg. Orders over this weight limit will have to be placed in two separate orders. For heavy items please contact us directly to discuss shipping.

Expensive and/or fragile items will only be shipped via registered post with adequate insurance.

Due to Australian regulations we are restricted to shipping all projectiles to customers located in Australia only.

Dangerous goods including powders, solvents and primers cannot be shipped and MUST be collected from the QStore.
